Connie Misquez Ferrales 78, of Tortugas NM entered eternal life Saturday December 7, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Connie Ferrales was born November 9, 1946, in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Ernesto E. and Christina T. Misquez. Connie was a loving and caring wife, sister, mother and grandmother. One who would go above and beyond. Connie was a Las Cruces graduate and went to beauty school, where she became beautician until she had her youngest child. She was the Matriarch of the family. She enjoyed spending time and making wonderful memories with her grandchild and her great-grandchildren. Connie was a dedicated member of Los Indigenes de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe for 57 years where she served along her side of her husband, Jose "Peter" as mayordomos on three separate occasions and faithfully participating in the annual fiesta in the Tortugas Pueblo.
Those left to mourn her passing include her daughters, Antia Ferrales, (Monica), Linda Ferrales-Herrera (Mike), Lorraine Ferrales (Bryan), Dolores (Mamas) Ferrales (Diego) and her Goddaughter, Janet Clark (Landis), who she considered one of her own daughters, all of Las Cruces. One sister, Gloria Misquez of Las Cruces. Other survivors include her grandchildren Joseph Angel, Amanda and Vanessa Ramirez, Xavier Sida, Alyicia Brunson, Mari Ferrales, Santana Andrade, as well as 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephew, Godchildren and her beloved pet "Zoey".
She was proceeded in death by her husband Jose "Peter" Ferrales, her parents Ernesto and Christina Misquez, her brothers, Ernest T. and Rudy T. Misquez, in-laws Jose P. and Andrea O. Ferrales, two brothers-in-laws, David O. Ferrales and Ernest O. Ferrales, one Aunt, Estella Pacheco and one nephew, Ernest R. Misquez.
Serving as casket bearers will be Xavier Sida, Joseph Angel, Mike Herrera, Diego Medrano, David C. Ferrales and Monica Monsivaiz. Serving as honorary casket bears will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Connie will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, starting at 6pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3600 Paroquia Street. A prayer vigil will begin at 7pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, starting at 10am. The rite of committal and interment will follow where she will lay to rest at Tortugas cemetery.
