MR. CONCEPCION LANDEROS MEDINA, age 100, of La Mesa, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at his home. Born November 2, 1925, in Tepezala, Aguascalientes, Mexico, he was the beloved son of Ignacia Landeros and Concepción Medina.
A devoted farmer throughout his long and blessed life, Mr. Medina carried a profound passion for his land—working it with dedication, reverence, and gratitude. His faith guided him daily, and he remained a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church, living out his beliefs through humility, hard work, and love for his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his four sons: Salvador Medina of La Mesa; Henry Medina (Ray Anne) of Radium Springs; Manuel Medina (Bunny) and Mario Medina (Sandy), all from Las Cruces; three daughters: Martha Medina of La Mesa; Mary Morales (Jesse) of El Paso, TX., and Isela Martinez (Paul) of Chamberino; as well as 13 grandchildren, 15 great‑grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his stories, his strength, and his example. He was preceded in death by his loving parents; his wife, Concepción Lugo Medina, on September 27, 2020; son, Armando Medina, on December 16, 2024; three sisters; and five brothers.
Mr. Medina's century-long life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and devotion—both to the land he tended and the family he nurtured. His legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 19217 S. Hwy 28 in San Miguel with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 AM.
