Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of 80 year old Cleto Garcia Gomez on August 10, 2024. He was born March 21, 1944 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Elvira and Vicente Gomez.

Cleto, loved spending time with his family, his grandkids were his joy. He enjoyed his projects around the house like tinkering with his tools, listening to the various radios he had throughout the house. Working on puzzles was his favorite pastime, also trading puzzles with his sister Dolores.  He was very talented and able to build anything. He never missed his daily news channel, western movies, and wrestling. He loved drinking his coffee day and night.  Christmas mornings he would eagerly wait for his grandkids to come over and have some posole and open gifts.  He would always help Rosario cut and cook pumpkin to make empanadas. He enjoyed history, travelling, and a good rollercoaster any chance he would go to a theme park. Visiting his son in California was nonstop swap meets, baseball, and the beach. He always looked out for his family, he designed and built his family home from the ground up. He taught his kids so much and was a great role model for them.

Cleto was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend, cousin, and son. His memory will live on and shine bright.

Those left to mourn him include his beloved wife Rosario, his sons Hector Gomez (Nancy), Gerardo Gomez (Rebeca), and his daughter Brenda Quintana (Rocky). All his grandchildren Jason Ruiz, Jayden Gomez, Brisa Quintana, Adriene Quintana, Gerardo Jr Gomez and Geraldo Gomez.  His four brothers Ramon Gomez, Manuel Gomez, Cruz Gomez and his two sisters Santos Ortega and Dolores Gomez.
