It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Kahilil Jackson IV, 28 years old, gained his wings on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. He was born on May 3, 1997, in Las Cruces, NM at Memorial Medical Hospital. His infectious laugh, and loving heart will forever be missed by the ones he loved so fiercely.
Kahlil as he was known to family and friends is survived by his Mother Dwan Alvarado (Gilbert Rodriguez), Father Charles B. Jackson, Partner Kassandra Lerma Holguin, His Children, Ke'nen Jackson, Ka'Leah and Ka'Mia, Brothers Darrion Jackson, Marcos Martinez, Isaac Moss, Jacob Rodriguez, Shawn Rodriguez, Sisters Jenalla Jackson, Layla Rodriguez, Neveah Rodriguez. His Grandparents Liz Salaiz Montoya (Ray Montoya), Manuel "Shorty" Alvarado and Patricia Parra Brown (Ron Brown), His Special Grandparents Julie and Teofilo (Jr.) Castillo, his Niña Lola Montoya and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and the "Wingmen Aunties."
He was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents Estella and Fernando Salaiz, Alejandra and Pedro Alvarado, Manuel and Elvira Parra, Charles and Anna Jackson, Cousins Leilani Alvarado and Isaiah Granados, Niño Teofilo Castillo and Brother Nick Bustamante.
Kahlil took pride in being a Father and exploring all that he could with his Babies, they were his whole world. He enjoyed being around his family whether it was cooking, entertaining everyone with his rapping, dancing or just cracking jokes. He enjoyed cutting hair, the outdoor life, fishing, four-wheeling in the desert mountains and river. Kahlil had a smile that lit up every room he walked into, he was the life of the party.
A prayer vigil will be held on Friday May 30, 2025, at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:00 A.M. and the mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Following services cremation will take place and inurnment will be at a later date.
Serving as casket bearers include Darrion Jackson, Jonathan Parra, Angel Rivas, Oscar Alvarado, Gabriel Saavedra and Montel Sellers. Honorary bearers include Izaak Espinoza, Michael Mendoza, Joseph Castillo, Ke'nen Jackson.
