Celia S. Tangonan passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023, surrounded by family.  She is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus.  She was born October 1,1928, to Josefa Morales and Ismael Saenz.

Ms. Tangonan was a very loving person, always putting others' needs before her interests.  She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Those left to mourn her include her children, two sons, Roman Garcia (Susie) and Jose Tangonan (Bertha), two daughters, Anne De Los Santos (Alfonso) and Elisa Vera (Ralph), and one brother, Benjamin Sainz (Evangelina).  She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josefa and Ismael, her husband, Alfredo, and her sister, Concepción Calderon.

The honor of being a pallbearer are Isaac Garcia, Ezekiel Tangonan, Ernest Vera, Joshua De Los Santos, David Sainz, and Fernando Calderon.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E Boutz Road.  Visitations will begin at 09:00 A.M. and the service will begin at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Charlie Wasson officiating.  Interment and Rite of Committal will conclude at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa.
