Catina Victoria Beck, a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on July 26, 2026, in Las Cruces at the age of 53.
Born on October 22, 1972, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Catina was the beloved daughter of Vicenta Dominguez and Jesus Dominguez. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, family member, and friend whose love and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Catina found joy in arts and crafts and had a creative spirit that she shared with those around her. Above all else, she cherished her family. Her greatest pride and happiness came from her five sons: David Jesus Dominguez ("DJ"), Timothy Michael Padilla, Victor Thomas Beck, Dyllan Ray Beck, and Gerald James "J.R." Beck.

She was also a proud and loving grandmother to her eight cherished grandchildren: Zaraee Andrea Dominguez, Zaylee Alyssah Delatore, Zachariah Joseph Romero, Fernando Emilano Padilla Salazar, Tatum Jett Beck, and Dexton Aaron Beck. Each of them held a special place in her heart and brought immense joy to her life.

Catina was survived by her beloved husband, Gerald James Beck; mother, Vicenta Dominguez; sister, Darlene Chavaria; brother-in-law, Richard Chavaria; sister, Arleen Tavulares; brother-in-law, Steve Tavulares, sister-in-law Machira Freeman; brother-in-law, Daryl Freeman, brother-in-law, Pedro Askar; sister-in-law, Sandy Askar; brother-in-law, Alex Askar; and sister-in-law, Brenda Mendoza; brother-in-law David Mendoza.

She leaves behind her loving Mother, Vicenta Dominguez; her five sons; her eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory and the love she shared.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Catina's life on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baca's Funeral Home,300 East Boutz Road in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Though she is no longer with us, Catina's love, creativity, strength, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
