It is with deep sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, CATALINO LOPEZ DOMINGUEZ, of Las Cruces, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his home, at the age of 92. He was born April 30, 1934, in Durango, Mexico to Trinidad Lopez and Pedro Dominguez.

Catalino was known for his unwavering work ethic — a trait that shaped his life and became part of his legacy. His determination was unmatched; once he set his mind on a task, it simply had to be done. That same steadfast spirit carried him through every chapter of his life.

One of his greatest joys was watching baseball. During a game, it was nearly impossible to pull his attention away — he was fully immersed, cheering, analyzing, and savoring every moment. He also looked forward to his Bingo nights, where he enjoyed the company of friends and the chance to meet new people. His social nature and warm personality made him easy to love.

Catalino’s heart shined brightly around his great‑grandchildren. The way his face lit up in their presence revealed the depth of his love for them. Their laughter, energy, and affection brought him immeasurable happiness.

Friends will gather at 6 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Baca’s Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Holy Rosary at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 100 N. Espina Street, where Catalino will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Victor Dominguez, Pablino Dominguez, Frank Dominguez, Nick Dominguez, Luís Carlos Dominguez, and Fernando Carreras.

Catalino leaves behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and love — a life defined by hard work, cherished traditions, and the joy he found in family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
