Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, Carmen M. Moreno, lifelong resident of Anthony New Mexico, was called home in the early hours of May 5, 2024, at the age of 77 at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Carmen retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs after 40 years of service and later, lived a fruitful life. Carmen enjoyed baking, knitting, traveling, watching Hallmark movies, praying her daily rosary, and she never tired of going shopping and eating a good meal at her favorite restaurants with family & friends. She was known for her humor and easy-going nature. She was a devout Catholic and she taught her children to never lose faith in God and to trust in the power of prayer. Though our loss is painful, we trust that she is now looking over us from heaven and guiding and guarding us from a celestial place.

Those left to mourn her passing include her loving children, son Mario, Jr (Ivonne) and daughter Nicole (Raul), along with her four grandchildren: Mario Samuel Moreno, Matthew (Kassandra) Moreno, Joseph Rocha, and Brianna Rocha, as well as her sole surviving sister: Gloria (James) Stoeckl, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Carmen was preceded in death by her loving parents Bartolo & Primitiva Morales, from Anthony, TX, along with her sister Mary and brother Jesus.

Services will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 324 Lincoln Street, Anthony, NM  on May 17, 2024, with viewing beginning at 8:30 am, 9:30 am Rosary, and Catholic Mass at 10:00 am.
