Carlos Martinez Jr. passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born on February 24, 1970, in Wauchula, Florida, Carlos was the beloved son of Carlos G Martinez and Gloria Barrera Martinez. He was a special person to many whose lives were touched by his kindness, faith, love, and caring spirit

Carlos was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Cedar Hills Church of The Cross. His unwavering Faith in God guided his life and inspired his family, friends, and church family He was known for his compassionate heart, gentle nature, and dedication to The Lord.

He is survived by his loving parents, Carlos and Gloria Martinez; his brother, Daniel Martinez and his wife, Juliet; his sisters, Norma Martinez De La Garza and her husband, Patrick, and Gloria A. Avalos and her husband, Jesus. He also leaves behind his cherished niece and nephews, John Joel Kirker, Juli Daniela Martinez, and Sammy Thomas Martinez, all of whom brought him great joy and pride.

Carlos was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Antonia and Maximilliano Barrera, and his paternal grandparents, Consuelo and Benjamin Martinez.

Carlos will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of faith, love, kindness and gentle soul will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Cedar Hills Church of the Cross, 5550 Stern Drive. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. for family followed by a Celebration of Life at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Caleb Perez will be the officiant. Interment and the Rite of Committal will conclude at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Avenue.
