Captain Albert "Jerry" Torres (73) Salem, New Mexico passed away on November 17, 2023, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Jerry was born in Hatch, New Mexico to Alice and Albert Torres. He was baptized in Hatch, NM; graduated Hatch Valley High School, served 20 years in the army including two tours in Vietnam, and ran a horse ranch.

Jerry is survived by Sherry Black Torres. Children: Patricia Marie Torres (54); Gerald David Torres (51); Joanne Torres Parsons (46): Jason Michael Black (41); Laura Renee Dennison (39); and Brandon Russell Black (37), one aunt, Leola Romero, Armando (Connie) Torres, Damien (Irene) Torres, Yvonne Torres.

He was preceded in death by parents Alice and Albert Torres, and brother Richard Torres.

A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Home, 300 East Boutz Road.
