BERNARDO HERRERA, age 88, lifelong resident of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 20, 1935, to Lorenza Acuna and Jose Herrera. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife Ventura Herrera; son, John Herrera (Lauren) of Mesa, AZ., and daughter, Lori Ann Donnell (Tom) of Gilbert, AZ; his brother, Vivian Herrera of Mesilla and three sisters, Adelita Montoya of Las Cruces, Martha Borunda of Navada, and Rachel Alarcon of Colorado; his two beautiful grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation for Mr. Herrera will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite Street with The Reverend Ruben Romero Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be his family and friends.
