BEATRIZ B. BLANCO, 97, of Las Cruces, NM entered eternal life on Mondays, March 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was born November 21,1927 in Paulding, Ohio to Isabel Madrigal Barriga and Jose Barriga. Beatrice was the youngest of her six siblings.

When Beatrice was elementary school aged, she would help her family in the produce fields in the Midwest of the United States. She and her family moved to Zumpango de Ocampo, Mexico City when she was a teenager. She met the love of her life, Luis R. Blanco Sr. and they got married on March 17, 1955. Beatrice and Luis then returned to the United States where they would make Las Cruces their home. Beatrice and Luis went on to start a family of their own. Beatrice was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Survivors of Mrs. Blanco included her children Jose, Lupe, Luis Jr., Ricardo, Raul, Raquel, Sergio, Cecilia, and Guillermina. "Grandma B" as she was fondly known to her 36 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Blanco was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Luis Blanco Sr; a daughter, Diana Blanco Thompson; son-in-law Steve Thompson; and grandchildren, Beatriz Blanco and Carlos Rojas. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jesus, Roberto, Guillermo, Alfonso, and Frances.

Visitation for Beatrice will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2 PM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1240 S. Espina St. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 2:30 PM and the Memorial Mass will follow immediately thereafter. Private burial of Mrs. Blanco will be held at a later date.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jose Blanco, Evan Blanco, Luis Blanco Jr., Luis Ezekiel Blanco, Jose Carlos Blanco, Jason and Demetrius Rel, Adam, and Marco Hines.
