BEATRICE GONZLAES MARQUEZ, age 67, of La Mesa entered eternal life on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 19, 1957 in Las Cruces to Elma Appelzoller and Elias Gonzales. Beatrice was employed with the Gadsden Independent School District as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children, 2 sons, Jaime Gonzales (Vanessa), and Augustin Marquez, all from Las Cruces; 2 daughters, Becky Gonzales, and Ana Marquez both of La Mesa; 3 brothers, Lorenzo Gonzales (Kathy) of Reno, NV, Ray Gonzales (Lisa) of Las Cruces and Leonardo Gonzales of Hobbs, NM; 3 sisters, Eloisa Barrientos of Las Cruces, Genoveva Gonzales, of Dumas, TX., and Bertha Valdez of El Paso, TX. Other survivors are her 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Gabriel Marquez; brother, Jacob Appelzoller; 2 sisters, Carmen Cortz and Virginia Gonzales.

Visitation for Beatrice will begin at 9 AM Monday, November 18, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Funeral Liturgy at 10 AM. At her request cremation will follow and Inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jaime Gonzales, Augustin Marquez, A.J. Marquez, Lorenzo, Leonardo, Julian, and Joshua Gonzales.
