It is with heavy hearts and much love that we mourn the passing of Arthur Woods Jr., of Las Cruces, NM. He entered eternal life on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 59 surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Born December 2, 1966, Arthur was known for his love and passion of all things involving Chevy trucks, Car show competitions, (of which he won many first prize trophies) off-roading, rock-crawling events and Harley bike runs. All of which brought excitement, joy, and passion. He was a devout husband, son and brother. He loved his family very much and remained loyal to both family members and friends alike.
Arthur enjoyed spending most of his time with his beloved wife Martha, and his companion dog Chevy.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan, loved the L.A. Dodgers, Iced Caramel Frappes, and Chevy trucks.
Arthur was employed with Freeport McMoran in Morenci Arizona for 10years, as a Hydromet Mechanic. He took pride in his work and had deep respect for his fellow coworkers.
Arthur will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Martha, his stepchildren Eric Rigales and Leandra Rigales his sisters Marie W.Gallegos (husband Joe) and Diane W.Escandon (husband Mario) both of Las Cruces; his brother, Richard"Woody" Woods (wife Rosa) of Tucson, AZ; Arts son Michael Anthony Woods of Albuquerque. and his daughter, Ashley Moon and grandson, Nikolai both living in the state of New Hampshire.
Arthur will be greatly missed by his family, loving nieces and nephews. Along with his best friend Arthur Galindo and Margaret Lopez, whom were a big support to Arthur during his battle with a Angiosarcoma Cancer.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Natalia Villa and Arthur L.Woods, his brother Michael Woods.

A celebration of Arthur's life will be held at Baca's Funeral Home at 300 E. Boutz, Las Cruces, NM on June 12, 2026 at 3PM.
