Antonio De La Torre Garcia, 74 of Las Cruces passed away on Friday August 30, 2024 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center.  He was born on January 17, 1950 in Jerez, Zacatecas to Andres Garcia Magallanes and Benita De La Torre Diaz.  Mr Garcia was a retired Chef and a member of the Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn his passing include his wife, Margarita Garcia, two daughters; Estela Garcia and Lupe De Leon (Aaron), three sons; Antonio "Tony", Daniel and Jesus Garcia all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandson.

Casket bearers will be Estela Garcia, Tony, Jesus and Daniel, Daniel Jr and Panchito Garcia, Aaron De Leon, and Angel and Fernando Vargas.

A visitation will take place at Baca's Funeral Chapels – 300 East Boutz Rd., beginning at 5 PM on Sunday September 8, 2024.  Recitation of the Rosary is scheduled for 6 PM. The Funeral Mass will take place at 10 AM, Sunday September 9, at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church 1178 N. Mesquite St with burial following at Masonic Cemetery, 760 S. Compress Rd.
