ANTONIA SALAZAR VILLALOBOS, was a beloved, caring, selfless, loving, and humble wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, daughter, and friend. She was a Godly woman devoted to the rosary, which she prayed daily. She was filled with love to give and the richest because of the relationships with her family and friends. She always made time for all her family and friends and gave with all her heart. Her warmth and love was the glue to the family and the cornerstone to the foundation of the family tree.
Antonia was born July 14, 1943, in San Luis del Cordero, Durango, México to Ninfa Soto and Francisco Salazar. She entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at her home surrounded by all her loved ones. She worked at Farah Manufacturing Company and retired from Sarah Lee Hosiery as a seamstress and was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church where she taught catechism for several years.
Preceded in death by her parents Francisco Salazar and Ninfa Soto de Salazar. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Armando G. Villalobos; sons, John Albert Villalobos (Patricia), Armando Villalobos Jr. (Sylvia), and Lawrence Frank Villalobos (Zelith); daughters, Elizabeth V. Briones (Enrique), and Sylvia V. Stubbs (Jeffery); and a sister, Lazara S. Leon; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation for Mrs. Villalobos will begin at 6 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces, NM, with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Street in Anthony, NM. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Anthony Community Cemetery, 750 Acosta Road, Anthony, NM where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jose Antonio Villalobos, Amanda Teresa Villalobos, Enrique Briones III., Jessica Marie Briones, Bella Monet Briones, Ninfa Lorena Stubbs, Aisha Antonia Villalobos, Cassara Marie Cravens, Ricardo Lopez Jr., Joshua Lopez, Ithiel Lorenzo Villalobos, and Alazne Zelith Villalobos.
