ANTONIA "TONI" BOUVET CORDERO, age 93, formerly of Garfield, New Mexico, entered eternal life on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born June 13, 1932, in Garfield, NM, to Pueblita Garcia and Benjamin Bouvet, Toni was a devoted homemaker whose life was rooted in faith, family, and service. A lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church, she lived her beliefs with quiet strength and unwavering grace, nurturing generations with her warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love.

Toni's legacy lives on through her nine children: Margaret Tatari (Atiq); of Albuquerque; Ambrose Cordero (Terry) of San Antonio, TX; Monica Cordero of Albuquerque; James Cordero (Carole) of Olympia, WA; Christopher Cordero (Vivian) of Las Cruces, NM; Rosalie Hammon (George) of White Rock, NM; Ellie Mathews (Richard) of Albuquerque; Benjamin Cordero (Rhonda) of Knoxville, TN; and Joseph Cordero (Julie) also of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Aaron Bernal of Las Cruces, NM; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Florentino Cordero, who passed October 24, 2013; her parents; five brothers—Martin, Benjamin Elias, Miguel, Remigio, and Luis Bouvet; and five sisters—Margaret Torres, Herminia Torres, Josefina Gullekson, Mary Baca, and Beatrice Bernal.

Visitation will begin at 5 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road with the Prayer Vigil at 6 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at San Isidro Catholic Church, 2003 Loma Parda in Garfield. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Garfield Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her loving family.

Toni's life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. Her memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
