It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Annalise Carla Avalos, at the age of 44. A dedicated educational administrator and special educator, she devoted her life to empowering and uplifting others, particularly those with special needs. Her passion for education and advocacy touched the lives of countless students and families in her community.

Born the youngest of three siblings, Annalise was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter wherever she went, sharing her warmth and wisdom with each generation. Her role as a godmother, highlighted her nurturing nature and commitment to being a guiding light in the lives of those she loved.

In her personal life, Annalise was blessed with a loving boyfriend who appreciated her fierce independence and strong will. Known for her stubbornness and hard-headedness, she approached life with a determination that inspired those around her. Yet beneath her resolute exterior lay a heart full of love, always thinking of others before herself.

Annalise was more than just a sister and sister in law, she was a confidante, a mentor, and a cherished friend. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication to education will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents Samuel and Socorro Avalos, her loving boyfriend James Jackson, her sister, Theresa Genevieve and brother Samuel Esteban, sister in law Veronica Cristina, her nieces and nephew, Eliana Isabel, Ariela Jasmyn, Samuel Victor, Alexis, Clarissa, her great-nieces and nephews,  Matthias, Myauri, Royce, and Gloria, her "children" Linc and Vienna, and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, friends and colleagues who will forever remember her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.

Annalise is preceded in death by her paternal cousin Belinda Hernandez Martinez, paternal uncle Francisco Avalos, maternal aunt Maria Elena Treesh, Nino Ruben Gonzalez and her grandparents.

A celebration of Annalise's life will be held on December 3, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Home at 5:00-7:00. Services will be held on December 4, 2024 at Baca's Funeral home starting at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics New Mexico in honor of her lifelong dedication to education and helping others.
