Anna Lee Flores, 83, of La Mesa, NM, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on November 30, 2024. Anna was born to Florian and Maria Lucero in Atrisco de Albuquerque on January 6, 1941. She lived a full and inspiring life, especially enjoying time with her family, crafting, and singing.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Florian and Maria Lucero; her husband, Jesus Flores; her brother, Aban Lucero; her sisters, Nancy Sedillo, Belia Lucero, and Chris Garcia; her daughter, Lorraine Smith; her stepsons, Albert and Charles Chavez; and her grandsons, Ricardo (Ricky) Chavez and Lorenzo (Lencho) Chavez.

She is survived by her children, siblings, in-laws, and numerous grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Her children include Ernest Flores (Lina), Oscar Flores (Diana), Celso Chavez (Isela), Anthony Chavez (Alva), Dennis Flores and Linda, Anna Marie Jaramillo (Carlos), Victoriana Ramirez, Jose Luis Martinez (Juanita), Marisela Sosa (Benjamin), Judith Chavez, Irene Chavez, and Christine Elena Chavez. Her siblings include Jose W. Lucero (Blanche), Modesto Lucero (Lucille), Danny Lucero (Lynn), and Carmen Barboa (Frank), and Mary Lou Lucero. She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws, Aurora Ponce, and Lupe Flores; 24 grandchildren (including Michelle who held a special place in Anna's heart); 18 great-grandchildren,; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her granddaughter, Michelle, her son Dennis, her niece Alejandra, and Lucy Urena and Olivia Morones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 9:00 A.M., with the Celebration of Life starting at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment and Rite of Committal will follow at San Jose Cemetery in La Mesa. Reception to follow.
