ANITA TELLES GARCIA, age 83, lifelong resident of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 10, 1940, to Luisa Barela and Albino Telles. Anita was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend; and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her passing include two sons, Manuel Garcia of Las Cruces, Aurelio Garcia (Linda) of Sequin, TX; three daughters, Maria Elena Fiskum (Kurt), Anita Diaz (Martin), and Delia Lopez (Eduardo) all from Las Cruces; two sisters, Albina Montoya, and Pauline Belmontes all also from Las Cruces.  She also leaves five grandchildren, Stephanie, Brianna, Kaitlin, Jennifer, and Alejandro and three great grandchildren, Ayden, Addisyn, and Noah.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Aurelio Garcia on December 22, 2022; two granddaughters, Kristine and Jaymee Fiskum; five brothers, and three sisters, as well as other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2024, at Bacas Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Visitations will begin at 6 PM with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be on Thursday July 11, 2024, at 10 AM in the same chapel. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be her family and friends.
