Ana Maria Sanchez, 76, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in her hometown.
Ana was born on May 15, 1948, in Las Cruces, Ana's life was a vibrant celebration of faith, compassion, and love.
She dedicated her career to helping others, working as a dental assistant and office manager before embracing the role of caregiver. Her professional journey reflected her generous spirit and unwavering kindness, leaving lasting impressions on those she served and worked with.
A devout Catholic-Christian, Ana's deep love for the LORD guided her daily life. Her faith radiated through acts of selflessness and generosity—always ready with a kind word or warm smile. She lived by values that defined her legacy: kindness, honesty, courage, and love.
Ana brought joy wherever she went. Whether singing with delight, dancing freely, or lovingly preparing tamales and tortillas from scratch for those around her, she created a sense of home and happiness. Her laughter was infectious; her presence uplifting.
Fifteen years ago, Ana faced an Alzheimer's diagnosis with remarkable strength and grace. Even as memories faded, her devotion endured—offering a powerful example of resilience and unconditional love.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years Frank Sanchez; sons Michael Sanchez and Israel Sanchez; daughter Maria Elena Sanchez; grandchildren Lindsey Sanchez, Jacob Sanchez, Mariah Sanchez, Mykaela Sanchez, Alexis Rodriguez, and Valentin Garcia; great-grandchildren Layla Sanchez, Antonia Rodriguez, Victoria Rodriguez, and Valentina Rodriguez; sisters Amelia Avalos, Socorro Armendariz, Chila Jeffery; brothers Tony Arvizu and Ruben Arvizu.
Ana joins in eternal peace her parents Jesus and Evalina Arvizu; siblings Amparo Arvizu Munoz and Arturo Arvizu; and granddaughter Natalie Sanchez.
May Ana's radiant spirit continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Baca Funeral Chapel in Las Cruces starting at 10 AM. A celebration of life will follow at the Elks Lodge starting at 12:30 PM.
