Amanda Gomez, 45, of Anthony, New Mexico, passed away on October 4, 2024.

She was born on November 11, 1978, in El Paso, Texas, to Alfredo Gomez Jr. and Herlinda Gomez.  Amanda was a cherished member of a tight-knit family with six brothers and two sisters. She made every moment count, filling the lives of her family and friends with love, laughter, and joy. Whether enjoying a shared meal—complete with her signature photos of the food and the smiling faces of those around her. Amanda was the heart of every moment.  A strong advocate for Lupus Awareness, Amanda extended her circle of friends to include and support those facing the same daily challenges. In her quiet times, she loved watching movies, indulging in reality TV, and never missed a chance to share a humorous social media post with everyone.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughter, Ariana, and her beloved grandson, Liam. Amanda was never happier than when surrounded by their love.

She is survived by her father, Alfredo Gomez; mother, Herlinda Gomez; her siblings, Peter Gomez, Michael Gomez, Peggy Ramirez, Daniel Gomez, Amelia Gomez, John Gomez, and her twin brother Benjamin Gomez; as well as her daughter, Ariana Rodriguez, and grandson, Liam Lopez. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Ray Anthony Gomez.

Amanda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 starting 10am. at  St. Anthony Catholic Church,  324 Lincoln Street, Anthony, NM. A Prayer Vigil will start at 10:30am with the Funeral Mass to follow after. Cremation will follow after services at the family's request.
