ALICIA MEDINA SANCHEZ, 90, passed away March 14, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 25, 1934, in Mesilla, NM. to Victor and Juana Maese Medina. Alicia worked in the operating room for 25 years as an instrument technician at Memorial General Hospital which later became, Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones; sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, growing plants and loved going to the Casino's.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Sanchez; son, Tom Sanchez (Melissa); 7-grandchildren, Laura, Stephanie (Eddie), Christina, Cynthia (Cesar) Omar, Marisa (Israel), and Sal (Raquel); 17- great-grandchildren, Amiss, Angel, Christopher, Amberlei, Isaiah, Zayrie, Ozzie, Leilani, Zeke, Aviana, Selena, Rowan, Morrigan, Joren, Connor, Maliah and Leila; 4-great-great-grandchildren, Rinoa, Raith, Kayden, Kya;  as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and dear loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Sanchez, and other family member.

Visitation for Ms. Sanchez will begin at 6 PM Monday, March 31, 2025, at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road, with the Prayer Vigil at 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in the same chapel. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at San Albino Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.

Serving as casket bearers will be Sal Sanchez, Christopher Silva, Israel Cuevas, Cesar Orduno, Culbert Medina Jr., Richard Medina, and Ricky Mercado.
