Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, ALFREDO NAVARRO VEGA, age 96, of Las Cruces entered eternal life on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his home. Alfredo was born June 16, 1927, in Valle de Juárez, Jalisco, Mexico to Margarita Navarro and Emilio Vega. Mr. Vega was a hardworking farmer all his life.  He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include his son, Alfredo D. Vega of Las Cruces, daughter, Lourdes San Miguel, her husband, Dr. George San Miguel of El Paso, TX. Other survivors include four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Vega was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maria Cristina Vega in 2008; son, Mario Vega in 2015 and a daughter, Josie Graham in 2000.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Doña Ana, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated thereafter with The Reverend Martin Cordero, Celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where he will be laid to rest alongside his beloved family.

Serving as casket bearers will be Mr. Vega's family and friends.
