Albert A. Boberg was born in 1929 in Indiana and died in 2026 in New Mexico at 96 years of age.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; Mary and Bert Boberg, his younger sister Patricia, and younger brother Dick.
Albert entered the service and served four years in the United States Air Force where he met and married his wife of 74 years, Nancy. Nancy became Albert's wife in 1952.
Albert was the father of two sons, Steven & Douglas. He was the type of father any boy would be happy & proud to have. Albert took his boys hunting and fishing, taught them the value of a good work ethic, and how to be handy so they could take care of themselves. He taught them to have courtesy and respect, especially toward women. He worked hard to raise his boys into men.
Albert enjoyed time spent with family…picnics in the mountains, water skiing, hunting & fishing, camping and long walks throughout New Mexico & Colorado.
Albert enjoyed a long career for over 30 years with the City of Albuquerque where he rose through the ranks to become a Golf Course Superintendent and President of the Golf Course Superintendent's Association. He eventually became the Assistant Director of the Parks & Recreation Department where he was in charge of all the City's golf courses, city parks, and the Dukes Baseball Stadium (currently Isotopes Park).
Albert is survived by his wife, Nancy Boberg, his two sons and their wives; Steven (Sharlyn) and Douglas (Lyn), his four grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Derek and Lisa and his three great grandchildren; JySella, Ari, and Remi.
