It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to announce the passing of our beloved, Adrian Hernandez. This was an unexpected loss, and our family and friends are devastated by his passing.

Adrian was born one cold winter morning on December 4th, 1977, to Emma Hernandez and Juan Vacio in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

In his early years Adrian was joyful, fearless, rambunctious, and always willing to help anyone in need. Those were qualities that contributed to the man we all knew and loved. He had a knack for tinkering and was always working on restoring and fixing old cars. In his younger days that was a passion of his that continued well into adulthood. He dabbled in many different trades and became a master of a multitude of things. Known to some as a modern-day Mr. Fix It, there was nothing this man could not do.

A comedian since early childhood with quick wit and a great sense of humor, Adrian always left you with a smile. Always cracking jokes and poking harmless fun, there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was a prankster and kept everyone around on their toes. He knew how to work a crowd and always had everyone laughing and having a good time.

He was an avid music lover and enjoyed singing and dancing to all his favorite music. He was an avid sports fan and anyone that knew him knew that he was a diehard Raiders fan. He was also, a lover of art. He loved to draw and craft as well. He could make something out of nothing, a modern-day MacGyver. He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and landscaping, he enjoyed being outside. He was a hardworking man and wasn't afraid of getting dirty. There was no job that was too big for him. He was very driven when he set his mind to something he always achieved it.

He had an enormous heart and was always willing to help others in any way he could. Whether it was fixing the neighbors cars, giving a haircut to a person he met on the street or helping someone with the most mundane of tasks; he did it all. In addition to all these things, he was a huge animal lover. Though he loved all types of different animals, dogs held a special place in his heart and they seemed to be drawn to him.

He was a loving man, great with children and loved spending time with his grandchildren and grandniece. He was ambitious and always looked on the brighter side of things. He gave the best advice and even when he was struggling himself, he always found the silver lining. He was always smiling and cheerful in even the grimmest situations. People were drawn to him and anyone he'd meet he would instantly click with. He was fearless and always lived his life to the fullest. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed for the amazing man that he was.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gonzalo B Hernandez and Antonia "Minnie" Hernandez, his godmother Mary Melon (Yanez), and his two children Adrian jr. and Luna Mia Hernandez.

He is survived by his mother and father, Emma Valdez and Juan Vacio; his brothers, Juan Hernandez, Joseph Flores, Ozzy Villegas, Sergio "Smiley" Lopez, and Mando "Nandis" Villegas; his sisters, Judy Hernandez and Yaddy Padilla; his 5 daughters, Shania Macias, Vanessa Macias (Alvin), Destiny Davila, Elizabeth Renee Hernandez, and Leilani Gonzalez; 4 Grandchildren; his partner Monica Quintana; 5 Nieces, Rosy Adriano (Junior), Katrina Castaneda (Israel), Aubrey Baeza, Janyll Hernandez, and Kadence Hernandez; 4 Nephews, Johnnie Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez, and Jeremy Hernandez; one furry friend, "Kane", and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

He will be greatly missed, and remembered in music, the sun, the rain, and by our fondestmemories. Thank you Adrian, you have left us with only the fondest of memories which will becherished by your loved ones forever.

A visitation for Adrian will be held at 2pm, Monday, August 28, 2023, at Baca's Funeral Chapel at 300 East Boutz Road. A service will immediately follow the visitation at 3pm.
