It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of AARON ZAMORA, age 61, of Las Cruces on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Mountain View Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 19, 1962, in Silver City, NM to Hortencia Sierra and Celso Zamora. Aaron was employed as a stylist and as the salon manager at JC Penney Salon and retired after many years of service.  Aaron was a member of Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus.

In 1986 Aaron married the love of his life, Lori Garcia, and together they had two beautiful children. Aaron is survived by Lori, his wife of 37 years; son, Gregory Zamora of Denver, CO; daughter, Alysha Zamora-Morales (Adam); Aaron's pride and joy, his loving granddaughter, Aria Morales; his mother, Hortencia "Tenchie" Zamora; two brothers, Celso Zamora of T or C, NM; Joe R. Zamora (SaraJean) of Elephant Butte, NM; and sister, Geraldine "Dini" Estrada (Raymond) of Las Cruces.  He was preceded in death by his father, Celso Zamora, and other family members.

At his request cremation has taken place. The Prayer Vigil will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, 5035 Holsome Road with the Memorial Mass to be celebrated immediately thereafter. Inurnment of cremains will follow at St. Genevieve's Columbarium, 100 S. Espina Street.
