It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, RICHARD NIETO, 45, of Doña Ana on Friday, April 23, 2010. He was born February 10, 1965 in Las Cruces to Florentino Nieto and Charlotte Meraz. Richard was a detailer at Las Cruces Toyota and was a member of the Sweet Desires Car Club.
Those left to mourn his passing include two sons, Richard Jr. and Alex Nieto both of Las Cruces; his father, Florentino E. Nieto of San Miguel; his mother, Charlotte Meraz of Mesquite; four sisters, Dora Nieto, Debbie Nieto-Lopez and husband Jerry, Aurora Nieto and fiancé Oscar Moreno all of Las Cruces, Patsy Nieto of San Miguel; a stepsister, Laura Garcia of Mesquite. Other survivors include his former spouse, Rosa Estela Ramirez of Las Cruces; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Michelle, James, David Jacob, Patrick, Ethan and Eli; numerous great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Florentino P. and Matilde “Tillie” Estrada Nieto; two uncles, David and Freddie Nieto.
Visitation for Richard will begin at 5 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Llamados Para Impactar, 2701 W. Picacho #10 where the Evening Service is scheduled for 6 PM. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2 PM in the same church with Pastor Victor Maldonado officiating. Concluding Service and Interment will follow in San Albino Cemetery where he will be laid to rest.
Serving as casket bearers will be Richard Jr., Alex, Jesus, Hector and Ray Nieto, Jr., and Oscar Moreno, Honorary bearers will be Patsy and Dora Nieto, Crystal and Michelle Romero.
